Courage Never Fallen

Courage Never Fallen

Our memories honor courage in its light,
And legacies are forged from battles past,
Where noble deeds in history are cast,
We look behind to where the brave took flight.

With gratitude profound, respect we owe,
To those who gave their all in sacrifice,
Their actions bold, our nation's lasting price.
Their valor's tale in whispered winds does show.

A life laid down in service to the land,
In bravery, their spirit's flame is shown,
Through every act, their legacy is known,
With spoken words, their deeds we understand.

In silent tribute, hearts and minds align,
To fallen courage, memory's shrine.

Walk the Talk, Love a Lot

Walk the talk, Love a lot.
As I have loved you, love each other true,
By this all men shall know and value you,
God's new commandment: love with hearts sincere.
That you're my own, disciples pure and dear.
If ye have love one for another shown,
A radiant light within the dark will gleam.
As streams of grace flow forth, a sacred dream.
This sign of love makes every heart well known.
Love's gentle power can heal and unify,
A bond unbreakable through time will test.
And in this love, may all our souls find rest.
With love's embrace, let all divisions die.
So let this love, like stars in night, remain,
A constant guide through joy and deepest pain.

Prayers Ascended

 Prayers ascended

With eyes agaze, and ears attuned, I stand,
To witness tunes of modern melodies,
Yet each swipe brings news hard to understand,
Digesting tales that tug at heart's unease.

But in this sacred space, I find release,
As prayers ascend on wings of faith and light,
A plea for grace, for troubles to decrease,
And for the dawn to chase away the night.

We pray for children, teachers, and those with fright,
For those that serve and protect with all their hearts,
For hungry souls, and those in darkest night,
Yearning for healing, even in smallest parts.

May strength be ours to face each day's demand,
In harmony and peace, let love expand.

* I created this poem after  I attended the 2024 National Day of Prayer in Mesa AZ. We heard words and prayers from Jewish, Buddhist, Islam, Bahai and Christian faiths.  It was very inspirational.   I also wrote a poem before hand in preparation.  https://pachathepoet.blogspot.com/2024/04/a-prayer-for-all.html

A Prayer For All

A prayer for all time
On this day like all others, we gather near.
With prayerful silence, hearts and minds align.
In humble reverence, casting off fear,
And faith as firm as oak, our souls entwine.

From mountains high to valleys far and wide,
We raise our voices in a solemn hymn.
As prayers ascend, our spirits ever trim.
In unity, our nation's strength is tied.

For peace we plead, and wisdom to impart,
In every word and deed, let love abound.
To heal wounds, with every dead and sound.
With open hearts, we seek to play our part.

On this National Day of Prayer, we stand,
United in belief, God bless this land.

* this poem was written before I attended the 2024 National Day of Prayer in Mesa AZ.     I attended and after I wrote this poem in response to what I heard and felt.   https://pachathepoet.blogspot.com/2024/05/prayers-ascended.html

Dream Dipping

 Dream Dipping

In midnight's realm, where shadows softly creep,
Her dreams unfold, threads of night's grace.
Visions of sickness, where mortals weep,
The secrets of time in dream's silent space.

In swirling winds, tornadoes fierce and wild,
She sees the chaos of nature's wrath unfold.
Yet 'midst the chaos, hope still smiled,
In dreams, the gender of grandchild told.

In the silence, a Bishop's call rings clear and true,
A summons to action before the hour chimes.
Through her, the future paints its subtle hue,
Guiding the chosen to avert dire times.

Thus, in her dreams, mysteries take flight,
Revealing the essence of life's pure light.

Majestic peak, an ancient sentinel speaks

Majestic peak, an ancient sentinel speaks

In quiet stillness of the morning night,
I start to climb where one can contemplate,
Reflect on your life as you acclimate.
Welcome its beauty at a higher height.

As light gives form to this majestic peak,
My heart reaches upward to put forth a wish.
A desire that my body could finish,
On this ancient sentry before the peek.

Sparks of light start to come out at the top.
My beating heart is going to jump out.
A mist shrouds my eyes giving into doubt.
Yet by turning I see the grand backdrop.

It gives form to the awakening world.
I breath life as the morning's unfurled.

What does it mean to not have fear

What does it mean to not have fear?
In this moment I stop to hear.
A message prepared without fear.
But in that instant i realized.
That he is awesome idealized.

The strength I see starts with a desire.
Inspired from loving parents to acquire.
Allowing him to become stronger
To speak loud at a level of a small whisper.

Eternal Hope during our Sacred Journey

Eternal Hope during our Sacred Journey

The cross

a place of death, ending, and suffering.

The tomb

a place to never get back up, not recovering.

Your life

a place where things don't always look up, wondering.

At one moment, it switches.

The cross

a place of love and anticipation.

The tomb

a place of hope to our core foundation.

Your life

        a place of eternal salvation.

Have you heard that he will arrive.
Savior and King who helps us strive.
He prepared the temple for me,
To connect with the Father on bended knee.
Heavenly words shared to both of us
Given to understand and discuss.
A sacrament of supper to represent
His body and blood was spent.
He completed the transaction of the Law.
Atoned for all including every flaw.
His betrayal and trial led him
To give of his life which we sing in our hymns.
Started this great work to bring all
To know we can be saved, even big and small.
The great blessing of this Atonement remit.
Receive it. Practice it. Share it. Cherish it.

Walked with us he did. Where is he now?
Prayed for us he did. Where is he now?
Teach to us he did. Where is he now?
Healed us he did. Where is he now?
Plead for us he did. Where is he now?
Call for us he did. Where is he now?
Come with us he did. Where is he now?
Calmed the storm he did. Where is he now?
Smiled at us he did. Where is he now?
Searched for us he did. Where is he now?
Bleed for us he did. Where is he now?
Save us all he did. Where is he now?
Where is he this Easter morning?
Risen from the grave.
He lives.
He is here.
He saves me.
He bleeds for me.
He searches for me in those darkest of time.
He smiles at me and brightens my day.
He calms my storms.
He comes looking for me .
He calls me each week to follow him.
He pleads to the Father for me.
He heals my wounds.
He teaches me all things.
He prays to the Father for me.
He walks before me each step I take.

Poem 2022 My Easter poem

Here I sit a stranger, humble to the core
My illness threatens and knocks at the door.
Grueling my recovery outlook has become
I fear that my life has never really begun.
With so much uncertainty I search in Faith
For Christ did help to remove this wraith.
By picture and word came the words
"Be Not Afraid" for he is Lord of Lords.
Our Father's presence and comfort is felt
I rejoice as death's door is finally melt.
Giving thanks to our Father for the Son
For all things can be done.
At Easter time my mind is filled.
Through Christ all has been fulfilled.

Easter prayer 2020-04-12

I know how you feel.
I know what makes it real.
Really, how do you know?
What have you done that can show?
Oh my dear little one, how much have I done.
Why, I have overcome all, and it really wasn't fun.
For you I have lost my life, so you can shine.
Remember it was the Father's will not mine.
It was a wise purpose by the creator.
A need for a resurrection a little while later.
All are caught by that awful monster
But I have made it so all can prosper.
Thank you Lord for now I see.
What you have done for me.

The Noble Uncle

In memory, noble and serene,
my uncle lives in every memory.
Always forgiving, no matter the path,
His eternal love, light that never stops.
To all, his support is always good
In conflicts to peace he leads.
His laughter, in affliction reduces,
His tears show his great beauty.
With a sick person, he shows fortitude,
caring with love, with such certainty.
Peacemaker, lead the good,
His heart is difficult to reproduce.
In memory of him, his love is wealth,
an eternal legacy that shines on us.

My Mother's Embrace

 My mother's embrace
In morning's light, a radiant sheen.
A mother's love, forever serene.
A Guiding star in life's vast scene.
This day, we celebrate the queen.

With laughter shared and stories gleaned.
A sonnet penned, love's sweet refrain.
Through seasons changing, life sustains.
In a hug, a haven is gleaned.

Through shadows cast by fleeting fears.
A beacon bright, dispelling tears.
In your love, the heart endears.
Eternal bond, through passing years.

2020-05-10 The Right Stuff
How does she do such great feats?
Does her clock tick to multiple beats?
She taught me to sew and then some.
Not sure where all the energy comes from.
Greatest at organizing, so We'll be just fine.
I think her brain is twice the size of Einstein.
She braids her bread that rises to the sky.
She must get her answers from on high.
She is one of those that are Greatest of these.
Taught me, she did to say thanks and please.
Don't think I can ever give thanks enough.
But from God, she got all the right stuff.

2019-02-22 My Mom
I shall tell you that I love you
Something I hardly ever do.
Words can't  tell you enough just what
I want to say to you uncut.
You've never turned your back on me
Always there to help climb a tree
Not sure how much energy lost
But your love has infinite cost
I know an Angel in disguise
Your wings shows you are very wise
Giving & Forgiving never dies
I love you Mom, No Surprise.
