Walking along paths with footsteps well known

Sounds of cicada love songs make the right tone.

As we descend into the caverns of the past.

Clouds approach and make a perfect overcast.

With weather and erosion forms the perfect formation.

The Queen and Thor's hammer we show much adoration.

We pass many hoodoos and we leave them in awe.

We finish the wall with a great hurrah.

My Easter poem 2019

Here I sit a stranger, humble to the core

My illness threatens and knocks at the door.

Grueling my recovery outlook has become

I fear that my life has never really begun.

With so much uncertainty I search in Faith

For Christ did help to remove this wraith.

By picture and word came the words 

"Be Not Afraid" for he is Lord of Lords.

Our Father's presence and comfort is felt

I rejoice as death's door is finally melt.

Giving thanks to our Father for the Son

For all things can be done.

At Easter time my mind is filled

Through Christ all has been fulfilled.

From boy to man the race goes on,

slip behind or advance on.

Inclined to be his best in all,

climbed over even the tallest wall

Along this journey a mountain you climb

Dangerous and steep, will you finish in daytime.

Many dare not ascend for the climb is precarious

strenuous, mysterious, dubious; yet oh so glorious

Urgent is the path to know your relation

Find them is your solemn affirmation.

First peak, second and third you will find

That greater reward is truly combined.

background to poem:  We all have a responsibility to find who our ancestors were.  I can understand in the past and many still will give complaints as to why they don't want to or can't participate in family history research.  However in today's world we have great technology to help us in this great big work.  We just need to get on the path and do it.

Sower of the Word

A sower am I said he

Seeds go every where to be.

Be aware at the top of trees

Fowls await to eat two or three.

A seed can grow but if no root

Will be stolen by a brute.

A seed choked will not be fruitful

Thorns and weeds are not truthful.

Good ground seek forth and nurture strong

Fruit I seek and it isn't wrong.

This fruit will multiply one hundred fold

and it is well worth its weight in gold.
